I love the people I’ve met in the US. There’s unapologetic respect. There’s an encouragement to fail gloriously because art is trying & workshopping & process. That’s been one of my biggest lessons. I feel like a lot of the unlearning I’ve done is preconceived notions of needing a perfect end product. I’m a believer in that if the path or the solution isn’t in front of you, you literally have to invent it. You have to draw a door, knock & it becomes a real path.
